Job Title System Administrator

Description:
Mid-level, multi-platform, full time system administrator position supporting a program on a secured DOD client site located in Moorestown, NJ. The System Administrator will be responsible for the development and maintenance of computing infrastructure that supports development and use of modeling and analysis software, including servers, storage, network components, and workstations as well as all installed software. The individual will also be responsible for implementing and executing computer and information security plans in accordance with the organization’s requirements and standards. Candidates should be comfortable in both Linux and Windows server environments, while also capable of supporting end-user scientific workstations.

Minimum/General Experience:

  • 3+ years administration experience in Linux (Redhat preferred)
  • 3+ years administration experience in Windows Server 2k8 and Windows 7 Desktop.
  • Good understanding of security issues and concerns for desktop and server implementations in a DOD environment
  • Understanding of DISA STIG requirements and implementation
  • Good understanding of TCP/IP based networking
  • Proven experience independently researching, planning, presenting, implementing and maintaining substantial IT infrastructure solutions
  • Ability to function within an Out of Band environment and find solutions to meet DISA requirements while maintaining customer ability to meet mission requirements

Preferred Experience:

  • High Performance Compute Cluster administration
  • Experience in executing information assurance plans and procedures
  • Experience in collection, and communication of user requirements to supervisor to enhance current and future design and implementation of customer systems
  • Provide Help Desk support to user community
  • Interface and represent user community to enclave IA/IT groups

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day system administration and prioritization of work in support of user needs
  • Support long-term planning and management of infrastructure, including maintenance, upgrades and replacement of obsolete equipment
  • Support of information assurance plans and procedures
  • Researching new technologies for all of these environments

Minimum Education/Experience:

  • At minimum, must have a Bachelor’s of Science in CS/CE/EE from an accredited college/university or equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
  • Must be DoD 8570 IAT Level One compliant w/Security + certification, or obtain compliance within 60 days of employment.

The primary on-site locations for this position would be in Moorestown, NJ.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Contributing to the design, development and on time delivery of applications, components and/or systems
  • Defining requirements for emerging tactical and mission planning systems
  • Solving system integration issues employing both hardware and software solutions

Overview:
Job Title Network Engineer
Location Moorestown, NJ

Description:
DS 250 has a future opportunity for a full-time opening for a Senior-level Network Engineer and Manager responsible for a suite of hardware comprising LINUX, Oracle Enterprise Linux and Windows (Limited) operating systems. The infrastructure will consist of Virtualized systems and bare metal servers. These systems are required to support a variety of projects being developed at a customer site located in Moorestown, NJ., and range from development environments to high availability environments.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • System administration and configuration experience in LINUX
  • System administration and configuration experience in VMWARE and/or RHEV
  • System configuration experience with Enterprise Identity Management tools (LDAP, IPA, etc)
  • Plan and propose infrastructure upgrades, acquisitions and configuration changes
  • Communicate with a variety of hardware and software vendors to receive quotes and resolve infrastructure challenges
  • Coordinate system, application and network administrators supporting development and integration environments
  • Provide hands-on support, maintenance, performance monitoring, and optimization of 50 plus servers in a thin client environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work within a multi-contractor development and management team
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with constructing and configuration of data Cloud environments using Map Reduce/Hadoop and/or Government software such as Ghostmachine, Accumulo, Chef/Puppet
  • Experience in VM lifecycle management (snapshots)

Minimum Education/Experience:

This position requires a motivated individual who seeks to work in a team environment where creative solutions are encouraged and technical challenges are the norm. Desired Qualifications:

  • 5 plus years of hardware, firmware, software and systems engineering, design and integration experience
  • Modeling and simulation capabilities including real-time control and integration of GPS simulators and receivers within crew/hardware-in-the-loop simulations, and the modeling of avionics systems and subsystems
  • Design experience with the Advanced Global Navigation Simulator (AGNS) and AGNS Test Station (ATS)
  • Working knowledge of crypto processing activities on the Modernized Signal Test Asset (MSTA) and Modernized Receiver Test Asset (MRTA) developments
  • Working knowledge of GPS Antenna Wavefront Simulator and Avionics Windtunnel programs
  • Experience developing hardware, software system specifications and interface control documentation, along with the development of an Advanced Development Module simulator
  • Experience identifying laboratory enhancements for emerging advancements in GPS technology and qualifying system-level specifications and ICDs for new GPS test and evaluation systems
  • Familiarity with the development of the GPS Modernization Receiver Test Asset, Modernization Signal Test Asset and ATS programs
  • Familiarity with Matlab, C, C++, Object Oriented design, UNIX and LINUX operating systems as well as Microsoft products
  • An ability to work in a team environment; provide constructive alternatives/approaches to solving issues; be flexible; have a strong sense of urgency for critical tasks; and must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously while effectively managing schedule and communicating process
